Panoramic window and increased energy independence.

ECOCAPSULE has introduced an upgraded version of its mobile micro-homes, the Ecocapsule NextGen.

Bratislava, October 15, 2024

The Slovak company designing and manufacturing energy self-sufficient micro-homes, Ecocapsule, is introducing their new and improved generation – Ecocapsule NextGen. Based on user feedback, the second version has integrated new technological and design elements, making the micro-units even more energy independent, easier to service, and increasing the interior storage space. Ecocapsule’s long-term vision is to provide users with the comfort of sustainable living by using solar and wind energy almost anywhere in the world.

We are excited that Ecocapsule has attracted many customers, and, thanks to their feedback, we have the opportunity to work on an improved generation and stay ahead of the competition. The most significant change in the product design will be the installation of a large panoramic window, which will bring people even closer to nature,“ introduces the new version co-founder of Ecocapsule, architect Tomáš Žáček.

Several improvements for a better user experience

The first series of mobile micro-homes powered by solar and wind energy with an original design underwent several changes. „An important added value will also be the expansion of the solar panel surface, which will lead to even greater energy self-sufficiency of the Ecocapsule without the need for power from the grid,“ adds CEO Michal Tomčík.

During the conceptual phase of developing the new generation, improvements were designed within technology systems, that were relocated from the interior to external spaces, making it easier for service purposes. The new generation of Ecocapsule will also have increased storage space for users by at least five hundred litres, and the length of the product will increase by half a meter without reducing mobility options. By removing the water tanks and batteries from under the floor, the clearance height will increase, making it more comfortable for users, even in the lowest points within the curvature.

The large panoramic window combined with the entrance door brings structural simplification and design attractiveness to the product, optimizing the energy balance towards maximizing energy independence, but especially enhancing the user experience, as Ecocapsule becomes even more part of the place where it is located.

Thanks to changes in the product’s construction and the possibility of mounting technological systems and components more independently from each other, Ecocapsule will be able to optimize the production process. Production capacity will therefore increase from 2 to 8 units per month.

Support of the Crowdberry investment group for Ecocapsule

Thanks to its unique concept and original technological solution from Slovakia, Ecocapsule is being supported in its growth by the Crowdberry investment platform. Through this platform, Ecocapsule has launched a new investment campaign, the capital of which will be used for the development of Ecocapsule NextGen units. The target investment of 2 million euros, in addition to design changes, will provide the development and upgrade of technical functions of the product, as well as to bolster the operational and staffing capabilities of the company required for the successful launch of the new Ecocapsule NextGen in new markets.

Company plans

Once the development of NextGen is completed, the company intends to start serial production by mid-2025. You can reserve your Ecocapsule now. In the meantime, the company will seek a significant strategic investment partner with expertise in technology, innovation, manufacturing, or distribution to support its worldwide aspirations in the forthcoming years.
